New Distance Learning Labs

     This project for the Buffalo Board of Education involved the design and construction of five separate learning labs at various schools throughout the City. These labs included video and teleconferencing equipment, linking teachers and students in schools throughout the state. Scheid Architectural interfaced with several telecommunications consultants, mechanical engineers, school board architects, building personnel and contractors in order to complete all required portions of the project on budget and on time.
     Considerations included: specialized lighting, acoustics, the coordination of electrical and data cabling, cone of vision, coordination between technical experts, owners & contractors. It was imperative that the building intent was relayed to contractors, to assure these specialized requirements of new telecommunications rooms be met.
     Scheid Architectural had the experience to identify and address these and other project specific issues. The result was a communication center that satisfies present needs and accommodates future use and growth.
