1) West Assembly Bay Addition

This 25,000 sf addition project involved detailed documentation of existing conditions to determine the scope of selective demolition and the possible places to tie into the structure and work-flow of the existing building.
Working closely as a team, Scheid Architectural and the Contractor were able to provide timely service to the Client and deal with specific construction issues, including the demolition of an existing Electric Room which interfered with the new building but could not be removed until the new addition was substantially completed.
The new facility provides for assembly, shipping and spray painting / finishing.

2) South Test Lab & Assembly Bay Additions

This 30,000 sf addition expands the existing 25,000 sf assembly bay and provides a new Test Lab and Offices.
The project required a strong attention to detail including phasing of construction to allow uninterrupted use of the existing facility, tying into an existing 70 ton crane-rail system, sitework to handle poor site drainage, designing sound-rated walls up to 70 stc and providing foundations for high accuracy testing equipment, which changed several times throughout the construction phase.
