Sorrento Cheese Company, Inc
1) Shred Line Addition
This project provided for three
separate process rooms, shred packaging and pack off area, laboratory and
test spaces and office areas. All spaces had to be coordinated with the
equipment to be located within the addition as well as the Owner's plans for
future expansion.
The Partnering Approach was utilized since the
project's inception. Budget, design and constructability were continuously
reviewed by the Owner, Design Professional and Contractor. A competitive
price for the project was provided by putting portions of the work out to
bid and selecting the lowest qualified sub-contractors and vendors.

2)
Office Expansion and Renovation
This project involved a 7, 000
sq ft. addition to an existing 11,500 sq. ft. office building.
The addition involved the relocation of the company’s
executives from a building across the street. In addition to office space,
it also provides a new cafeteria, kitchen and conference room.
Extensive interior alterations to the existing facility
provide larger work spaces in the open office area, new offices, and a more
efficient use of space with room for additional staff. A new skylight brings
natural light into a garden area providing a pleasant indoor work
environment. A new synthetic stucco facade on the existing plant and offices
unifies the work on each side of the street.
The total project management approach has provided the
opportunity for the owner to make changes as the project progresses, from
moving walls, to adding windows; and changing finishes. This provides the
owner a more interactive role and increases overall satisfaction with the
project.
